Ginkgo biloba
We grow all of our Ginkgo biloba with the best intentions for the grafters in mind. These have an exceptional root system that make a big difference in driving the growth rate of your graft.
Fagus sylvatica
Fagus sylvatica is an excellent under stock for grafters to work with. Little prep-work required and long spacing between nodes for easy grafting. Works well with all upright and weeping cultivars. Order early for best availability of sizes. Height 50-65’.
Fagus grandifolia
Fagus grandifolia is difficult to consistently get seed every year, many growers double up on their order to keep production going. Leaves can be as long as 5 inches with saw tooth edges. Bright yellow fall color with smooth silver bark. Height 50-70’.
Eucommia ulmoides
Eucommia ulmoides trees foliage is dark lustrous green and has broad ascending branches similar to elm. This tree is heat, pest and urban resistant and has a very stately shape and easy to grow. Height 50’ x 50’.
Crataegus phaenopyrum
Crataegus phaenopyrum has deep green glossy foliage with copper red fall color. White flower clusters. Great under stock for budding pinks and reds.
Cotinus coggygria ‘Royal Purple’
Cotinus coggygria is the darkest of the dark purple smoketrees with beautiful fall color and pink and purple blooms. Height 6-8’.
Cornus kousa chinensis
While our Cornus kousa chinensis can make excellent trees when grown on as is, we produce these primarily for grafting or budding. If you need un-topped seedlings, specify early in the growing season. Height 20-30′.
Cornus florida
Premium grafting understock for Cornus florida cultivars or beautiful when grown on for its landscape appeal. Vibrant fall colors, red fruits and alligator skin bark at maturity. Height 20-30’.
Cladrastis lutea
We put a great deal of work into Cladrastis lutea to provide a premium seedling. Yellowwood loves to grow crooked as a question mark at the soil level. We pay extra attention to them to deliver seedlings that are straight out of the ground. Height 30-50’.
Carpinus caroliniana
Grown from seed, Carpinus caroliniana has a naturally beautiful fall color of red, orange and yellow. While adaptable to most conditions, it prefers moist, slightly acidic soils.
